    State Level Khadi Mela 2024-25 in Kolkata

    The State Level Khadi Mela 2024-25 in Kolkata was held from December 14, 2024, to January 5, 2025. Organised by the West Bengal Khadi & Village Industries Board (WBKVIB), this flagship winter exhibition took place at the Taltala EEDF Ground (near South City Mall on Prince Anwar Shah Road) in South Kolkata.The event featured a wide collection of authentic handloom textiles and rural crafts sourced directly from local weavers and artisans.

    Major Exhibition Highlights
    Traditional Handlooms: Premium Murshidabad silk sarees, intricate Kantha stitch apparel from Birbhum, and pure Muslin cotton garments.
    Rural Arts & Crafts: Notable heritage items including handmade wooden dolls from Natun Gram, traditional mats (Madur) from Medinipur, and Sital Pati from Cooch Behar.
    Organic Products: Stalls displaying village industry items such as raw honey, processing-unit spices, and handmade soaps.
    Fair Schedule & Logistics
    Venue: Taltala Ground, Prince Anwar Shah Road, Jadavpur, Kolkata (adjacent to EEDF Hospital).
    Timings: Daily from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
    Stall Details: Over 110 dedicated artisan pavilions and small-enterprise booths.
