KHADI PROGRAMME
1)
INFRASTRUCTURAL SUPPORT – Modern charkhas & looms with new device are also provided to the poor Khadi artisans to enhance production. Besides that for development of Khadi spinners & weavers financial assistance for construction of work shed are also provided under WSKA on a pilot basis.
2)
WORKING CAPITAL SUPPORT THROUGH ISEC– The Government of India has approved a comprehensive interest subsidy scheme for institutional financing of the Khadi and Village Industries Programme, called ISEC.
3)
MMDA ASSISTANCE– Govt. Grant, provided to the Khadi societies as well as artisans calculated on the PRIME COST of the production of the concerned society is paid at the rate 15% on Prime COST of Production.
4)
E- MARKETING– The Board is actively considering the proposal to develop a strategic alliance with leading e-commerce service provider. This is a platform for growth.
5)
KHADI MARK tag for Khadi product: With an objective to create a distinct identity of Khadi KVIC has developed Khadi Mark to guarantee the genuineness of Khadi.
VILLAGE INDUSTRIES PROGRAMME
1)
FROM CRAFT TO ENTREPRENEURSHIP- Conversion of the traditional craft skills in West Bengal into viable enterprise.
2)
SKILL DEVELOPMENT- Address the challenges of skill developments to meet the demand of skilled Human Resource in the production process with design support wherever necessary.
3)
MARKETING & SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT- Creating awareness on modern marketing and branding, and facilitating linkage with procuring organization and retail chains.
