WEAVER’S CLUSTER
Kenjakura located in the extreme western part of Bankura, in Bankura I Block. It is located 16 kms towards west from district head quarters and 17 kms from Bankura I. Kenjakura is surrounded by Indpur Block towards Southpot, Bankura-I Block towards East , Bankura-Ii Block towards East , Hirbandh Block towards South . There are 21 villages in the Gram Panchayat. They are Badra, Bankata, Dhobargram, Dhul Kumari, Dupsara, Gopalpur, Gosaindihi, Hare Krishnapur, Kantakuli, Kasiadoba, Kenjakura, Manoharpur, Matiakhola, Molbana, Nidaya, Pachirdang, Pathrabaid, Radhakantapur, Ramnagar, Tantkanali and Uriama. Belmala artisans, brass metal artisans, pottery and sola artists. Khadi was a predominant livelihood for majority of people.
