Training Programme under Hand Made Paper Industry

•    Introduction

Hand Made Paper Sector is totally eco - friendly utilizing non - woody raw materials and the durability of the paper is high with exclusive look and texture. The paper is available in a saga of rich varieties, design, shapes & colour. Most of the Hand Made Paper units in India have been traditionally using cotton hosiery waste as main source of raw material, which produce paper with excellent strength characteristic. The demand for Hand Made Paper and its allied products is gradually increasing not only in the domestic market but also in the export market.
With a view to increase the number of skilled artisans in this field, WBKVIB conducted its training programmes under Hand Made Paper Industry through its two department production Centers one at Kalyani, in Nadia District & other at Dasghara in Hooghly District.
